Students and guardians are expected to communicate with their teacher regarding any technical issues that may affect their ability to be present or participate in virtual instruction. It is appropriate for students or guardians to reach out via email to report issues to avoid being marked absent. Attendance Information >

Equipment Requirements
Students may utilize either a school-provided Chromebook or a qualified personal device. A qualifying personal device must be a Windows, Mac, or Chromebook featuring at least 8GB of RAM. The hardware must be capable of running the most current operating system and web browser versions.
Home Internet Requirements
A stable broadband connection (minimum 25 Mbps) is critical for participating in live video instruction without lag. Consistent internet access is a requirement for all students throughout the duration of their enrollment. Students are permitted to use our facilities during designated times to participate in their virtual classes if internet access becomes an issue.
Technical Support
Students should first contact their Indiana Online Academy teacher with any technical questions or concerns related to coursework, assignments, or course navigation. If the teacher is unable to resolve the issue, additional technical support is available through the Indiana Online Academy Helpdesk.
Local technology support is also available. Families may first contact our IT specialist for assistance, and then it is recommended to call the virtual school directly to report the issue.
To request assistance, families may submit a Helpdesk ticket through the Indiana Online Academy website by selecting Helpdesk and completing the online form, or by contacting the Helpdesk directly via email at info@indianaonline.org
1. Report the Issue to your Indiana Online Teacher
2. Contact Rushville Jr/Sr Virtual School
When technical issues arise, students and guardians may call or email using the contact information listed below. Our internal tech support will respond in a timely manner and take the necessary steps to resolve the issue. Depending on the nature of the issue, it may be escalated to the technology director or Indiana Online Support.
3. Come to RCHS to Drop Off a Damaged Device
If the technical issue is the result of damage to the Chromebook, please return the Chromebook to Rushville Consolidated High School for repair. When a device is returned, the student will be issued a permanent replacement. Any damages determined to be outside of wear-and-tear will result in an invoice being issued.
Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Devices
Students are responsible for the provided Chromebook at all times. Any device that is misplaced or lost must be recovered; if not, the student is found to be ultimately responsible for the device. Guardians may be invoiced for any lost, stolen, or damaged device or associated components, unless theft has been determined.
