RCHS is thrilled to announce the National College Board Awardees for their scores on last school year's PSAT! The follow students were awarded The Rural and Small-Town Recognition Award from their Fall 2024 PSAT Scores. This is an academic Honor from College Board that celebrates the achievements of high-performing students who attend high school in a rural area or small town. Students must have earned a cumulative GPA of a B+ or higher and score in the top 10% of PSAT/NMSQT test takers in their state. Congratulations!

Students from both groups attended a trade fair that had colleges and digital storytelling companies from all over the country, as well as special sessions where industry leaders spoke on such topics as sports broadcasting and videography. Breakout sessions offered valuable learning experiences, including “Branding and Social Media Strategy for Student Media,” which focused on creating a consistent digital voice; “How to Major in Yearbook,” a session exploring college and career pathways in journalism and design; and “Chaos to Culture: Hacks for Thriving Yearbook Staff,” which gave students practical strategies for improving teamwork, organization, and production flow. We also had students take Adobe certification tests in Photoshop and Premiere Pro. All students attended special critique sessions where their projects were viewed and given feedback from judges and other students who competed in the same event.
Congratulations to the entire group for representing RCHS in a positive manner with their efforts, professional dress, attitude and behavior!
The Holcad staff in attendance included Shane Allen, Brylee Shaver, Isabella Simmermon, Londyn Whittaker, Bethany Wyrick, Cora Morgan, Alayna Schilling and Mrs. Lindsay Tillison.
The Lions Live crew in attendance included Sam Pavey, Eli Pavey, Luke Padgett, Carter Woolf, Kaleb Amos, Noah Lee, McKenna Norris, Jaydah Wallace, Jentri Wallace, Londyn Whittaker and Mrs. Amy Fox.

Thank you to our incredible students for braving the cold and making it to school safely, to our dedicated families for ensuring smooth drop-offs, and to our amazing staff for their hard work in making sure the school day runs smoothly!
Safety is our top priority! We appreciate everyone taking extra care during their commute and while walking around the grounds.
Stay warm, have a wonderful day, and enjoy the snow!

Most colleges, universities, and vocational/technical schools in the nation require students seeking federal financial aid, including grants and loans, to complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA form must be received by the federal processor on or before April 15th to be considered “on-time” for Indiana state grant funding. 21st Century Scholars are required to complete and submit a FAFSA form to claim their 21st Century Scholarship. College Goal Sunday will help all college-bound students complete the FAFSA properly.
College Goal Sunday will take place at 2 p.m. (Local Time), Sunday, November 9th, 2025. The event will be held at locations across the state and begin promptly at 2 p.m. (Local Time). To find the location nearest you, visit https://collegegoalsunday.org/locations/
