For students going to college, the FAFSA results need to be reported to the financial aid office where the student has been accepted. Scholarships offered through that school and scholarships offered here locally through the Rush County Community Foundation and local organizations will require information from the FAFSA filing.
The process is remarkably simple--use this https://studentaid.gov/ to get started. If the parent has an ID/login from an older child, that login info will be the same for the parent. We will have a help session with an expert from the Commission of Higher Education here at RCHS on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 2:00-5:30.
If your student is not attending college, rest assured that later this spring (after April 15), we will help with a waiver/opt-out procedure.
