Thanks to a grant from the Rush County Community Foundation to purchase a refrigerated drink dispenser, students in Dr. Meek’s Advanced Physical Conditioning classes and various sports teams are able to have protein shakes after their workouts. This allows for the protein to be premade and served cold on site immediately after workouts to help support athletic development. This wouldn't have been possible without the RCCF and the generous donors who support the Rush County Youth Athletic Fund. Thank you!

RCHS has inducted 28 students into National Honor Society tonight. We had some fantastic speeches from Senior members Olivia Cooper, Jasmine Cooper, Sam Pavey, Eli Pavey, and Cate Neuman. Congratulations to all students! Thank you Mrs. Tillison for sponsoring NHS!

Students who are eligible for the ISTAR award are able to nominate one teacher that has made a lasting impact on their education. Many times, the students select a teacher from high school. This year, Mr. Cook and Mrs. Meek were excited to make a trip to Rushville Elementary School to deliver a letter! The letter was written by the student to explain how Mrs. Wallace has been the most influential teacher in this student's ENTIRE school experience! Keep being amazing, Mrs. Wallace! Our students are so grateful to have you!

Mrs. Wagner's Service Dog, Daisy, paid a visit to students the Friday before break! What a great sendoff, thank you Daisy and Mrs. Wagner!

Each year, many college-bound students from Rush County are recipients of scholarships from the Ora T. Lower and Dessie H. Lower Memorial Scholarship Fund as well as the William S. Coleman and Lillian R. Coleman Memorial Scholarship Fund. Mr. and Mrs. Lower were prominent members of the farming community and distinguished leaders of Homer. Dr. and Mrs. Coleman were distinguished community leaders in Carthage and Rush County. The separate Lower and Coleman wills provided significant funds for the education of Rush County Youth.
Since the first awards were made for the 1968-1969 school year, scholarships totaling over $6,792,318 have been awarded to Rush County students seeking higher education. In accordance with the intent established in the wills, JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. administers both scholarship funds, with local persons serving on the selection committees. The Scholarship Committees meet annually to review all the applications received before April 1. Scholarships are then distributed on or before December 31 each year.
Any students of Rush County who are pursuing higher education and training beyond high school are eligible to apply. Scholarships are available only to undergraduates. All students, including former recipients, must reapply each year for consideration.

Big things are happening at RCHS!
Last April, our Early College team completed a rigorous interview process with CELL at the University of Indianapolis. Rushville Consolidated High School was then selected as one of just 15 schools out of more than 100 applicants to join the Rural Early College Network (RECN 2.0), a grant-funded initiative supporting our journey toward earning the Early College Endorsement.
Next year’s freshman class — the Class of 2030 — will be the first cohort of Rushville University! Stay tuned for more information about dual credits, the Indiana College Core, and the opportunities our current and incoming students have!

RCHS Athletic Department honored their Corporate Sponsors during one the last basketball games and honored them by presenting their representatives with a plaque with a framed block R. Please take a moment to read the RCHS Athletic words on their sponsors:
"It is through the generous efforts of these sponsors that our athletes are provided with the best equipment and uniforms possible. We, the Athletic Department, are always appreciative of the support our corporate sponsors donate but this year we would like to thank you one more time for supporting our student-athletes. Thank you for helping make sports possible for our student- athletes.
This year the athletic department has 62 full sponsors. This year marks the 100 th year for Memorial Gym. The 67 year old floor was replaced this fall. Mr. Doug Corn and Mr. Tom McManus cut 12x12 inch pieces of the floor while Brittany Meek of M3 Custom Designs made the artwork for each Corporate Sponsor plaque for us to make this a special piece of memorabilia for them to take home tonight."

We are excited to invite you to a free Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) Middle and High School Workshop designed to help families build strong, connected relationships with their children. This workshop will introduce parents to the same strategies and language being used at school, helping create consistency and support across home and school environments.

Thank you to RCHS maintenance for hanging our Purple Star designation on our building! This was something that we announced last November that RCHS received. As a reminder, The Indiana Purple Star School designation honors schools that have displayed a significant commitment to service members, veterans, and students and families connected to our nation’s military.

RCHS had great representation at the I-STAR banquet in Hagerstown last night! The students and their teachers they chose to honor are as follows: Sam Pavey selected Digital Design teacher Amy Fox, Eli Pavey selected Spanish teacher Amaranta Kemple, and Cate Neuman selected math teacher Joni Fenimore. Congratulations to the students and teachers honored!
