Ready to elevate your academic game?

The RCHS Academic Team is the ultimate arena for students who love to learn, compete, and connect. It's more than just a club; it's a vibrant community where you can forge lasting friendships and ignite your school spirit. You'll put your hard-earned educational skills and knowledge to the test, proving that intellectual prowess is a true sport.

The team offers three unique paths to show off your smarts:

  • Spell Bowl is a spelling contest where students showcase their mastery on paper. The word list is announced in May, and the competition takes place in November.

  • Quiz Bowl is a group trivia game. Subjects include Science, Math, Literature, Fine Arts, and Social Studies. We typically have 5 or 6 meets in the fall and are always looking for new participants.

  • Super Bowl is a spring trivia competition where the main topic changes annually. The subjects addressed include Science, Math, Literature, Fine Arts, and Social Studies. We especially invite students who enjoy reading. This event is a great opportunity to learn new information and hone your skills.

Whether you choose one or master all three, you'll join a squad of dedicated students who are passionate about learning and ready to win!

Future Farmers of America

FFA is your launching pad to a future beyond the farm. Our members aren’t just future farmers; they are innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders in every field imaginable, from chemists and veterinarians to entrepreneurs, government officials, and international business leaders. We’ll help you discover your potential and build the skills needed for any career you choose.

As an intracurricular student organization, FFA is an essential part of agricultural education, blending classroom learning with practical application. The official name is the National FFA Organization, but the letters "FFA" will always stand for our history and heritage as the Future Farmers of America.

The RCHS Student Council is the voice of the student body, serving as a vital link between students, faculty, and administration. As dedicated leaders elected by their peers, our members work tirelessly to enhance school culture and promote a positive environment for all. All students with a drug form on file are welcome to join our council, which meets once a month during SRT to plan and execute a wide range of major school events. Our biggest event is Homecoming, which includes electing a court, a field day, a pep rally parade, Queen and King crowning, and a dance. Beyond that, our activities include organizing blood drives, spirit days, a winter dance, Valentine's suckers, the Holiday Festival, the Veterans Breakfast, and Trunk or Treat. The Executive Board serves as the guiding group for the club, with members being selected through an application and interview process. By fostering collaboration and turning ideas into action, we empower students to take an active role in shaping their high school experience. D&D Club

The RCHS Dungeons & Dragons Club is your portal to adventure! Whether you're looking for a fun time with friends, a trip into a world of epic fantasy, or a healthy escape from a stressful day, our club is the perfect place to roll the dice on a new experience. We can guarantee a good time if you join, participate, and learn along with your peers as you forge unforgettable stories together.

The world of DnD is far bigger than just dragons and knights. While we love classic high fantasy, your adventure is only limited by your imagination. Our games can take you on thrilling quests through modern-day cities, put you in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, or launch you into a high-tech sci-fi saga. And if you can't find a group for the kind of game you want to play, our club offers plenty of resources and support for you to build your own campaign from the ground up!

We welcome adventurers of all levels! No experience is necessary—veteran dungeon masters and enthusiastic beginners are all invited to participate. You don't need to bring anything to get started; dice, rulebooks, and character sheets will be provided. Of course, you’re always free to bring your own materials as well. We hope to see you in the Learning Commons!

eSports Teams

The RCHS ESports team is looking for dedicated players to join our official athletic program! We believe that gaming is a sport, and all of our participants are held to the same high standards as traditional athletes in terms of academic performance, behavior, and attendance. This isn't just about playing games; it's about teamwork, strategy, and dedication.

Our season kicks off on September 22nd and runs for 8 intense weeks. You'll join your team for practices Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 5:00, where you'll hone your skills, build synergy with your teammates, and prepare to face off against the competition.

But the season is just the beginning. If your team makes the cut, you'll advance to a high-stakes, single-elimination playoff tournament to be crowned the regional champion! But the ultimate prize lies beyond; regional champions move on to play for a national title in the summer! This is your chance to show the world what you're made of and bring home a championship for our school.

Don't just play the game, master it! The ESports team is open to anyone, and we want you on our squad. Come join us and make your mark on the leaderboard!

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Since 1954, FCA has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high, and youth levels to use the powerful platform of sport to reach every coach and every athlete with the transforming power of Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities around the globe by engaging, equipping, and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire, and change the world through the gospel.  The vision of FCA is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

At RCHS, the FCA is a student-led group supported by an adult sponsor. It is open to any individual, and you are not required to participate in a sport to join. The group is non-denominational and holds monthly devotional meetings. It also meets weekly in the learning commons before school for fellowship and prayer.

In addition to its weekly meetings, the RCHS FCA sponsors an annual Holiday Fair and offers opportunities to participate in events like:

  • "See YOU At the Pole": A prayer event held before the school day.

  • "Bring Your Bible to School Day".

  • "Fields of Faith": A student-led praise and worship event.

  • Christian concerts, praise and worship nights, and summer leadership camps.

All of these activities are intended to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and support fellow students!

Theater Production

The RCHSTheater Production class is a vibrant and creative group of students dedicated to the art of theatre. This class provides a unique opportunity for students to further develop their acting and technical skills both inside and outside of the classroom. To ensure a foundational knowledge of theatrical principles and a deep commitment to the craft, membership in theater production is exclusive to students currently enrolled in a theatre production class. Our class produces a variety of performances throughout the year, including a fall play and a spring musical. It's a place to collaborate, build confidence, and bring stories to life on stage!

Holcad

The RCHS Holcad Yearbook Club is where the history of our school year comes to life! This club is responsible for documenting all the memorable moments, from athletic victories to student life and academic achievements. To be a part of this dedicated team, you must be enrolled in the Yearbook class. In this class, you'll learn essential skills in journalism, photography, graphic design, and marketing as you work together to produce our annual yearbook. It's a fantastic opportunity to develop creative and technical skills while creating a lasting memory for the entire student body.
