Please see the latest Camp! Middle School and Youth League Football Camp July 9-11. For a list of all camps and links to flyers, please see the "Youth Sports Camp" Page under Sports on our RCHS website. It is vitally important to develop the proper fundamentals early in an athlete's career. The teaching of these important skills is what will be emphasized at the RUSHVILLE FOOTBALL YOUTH LEAGUE CAMP 2024. We want to get off to a great start fundamentally for the 2024 season. We provide indoor and/or outdoor instruction specific to each position on the football field supervised by the Rushville High School Coaching Staff. We will teach the fundamentals of blocking and tackling using shields and bags. All students entering grades K-8th are welcome. Athletes will learn the position fundamentals and skills of the Lion Offensive & Defensive Systems that he will perform this upcoming season. Your child and their classmates are a special group with the ability to achieve great things on the football field. The RUSHVILLE FOOTBALL YOUTH LEAGUE CAMP will give him a chance to get a feel for what being a member of the RUSHVILLE FOOTBALL FAMILY is all about so he can excel this coming season.

The Indiana Department of Education has put out a proposal starting with the current 7th graders (Cohort 2029) for new diploma requirements. We have created a video that talks through that proposal. I have put the IDOE Feedback Form and full State Board of Education slides in the comments of this post. We don't have much information besides what is shared, so you are more than welcome to ask questions, but we may not have the answers yet. We have already met with our counselors and are working on a plan to ensure we are prepared for these changes. Video: https://youtu.be/OpVR81vJ0-M

A special shout out goes to Mrs. Wagner for bringing in her Certified Therapy dog, Daisy, to school last week. On Tuesday morning this wonderful surprise walked the halls of RCHS before school. Seeing everyone absolutely light up when they came to greet Daisy was an highlight of the week! I never realize the power of a therapy dog until I encounter it. I think everyone benefited from this visit this morning and I look forward to more visits from Daisy!!
