Mrs. Meek was selected as the RCHS staff member of the month. Somehow EVERYONE was able to keep this is a secret and Mrs. Meek had no idea that this was happening at the board meeting! Mr. Cook and Mr. McCartt talked about how there are many things behind the scenes that Mrs. Meek does that helps our school. Congratulations!

Jenna Lawler is our RCHS student of the month! She works incredibly hard in anything that she does. Most recently she was the NATIONAL CHAMPION in Extemporaneous Public Speaking. Jenna takes younger students under her wing and excels in anything she sets her mind to. Congratulations!

What an amazing night for our spell bowl team of Bethany Wyrick. She placed 1st in division 2 at the Shelbyville meet tonight!! So proud of her and all her hard work. Pictured is Bethany and also coaches Brittney Corum and Libby Adams. Congratulations!

Monday, Nov 4th- the Senior Lot and 12th Street will be closed to students for parking. We will need to use the Senior parking lot for staff and presenters for our College and Career Fair that we will be having during SRT. There will be some cars in the parking lot, but students, please park in the gravel lot or another approved parking lot. Thank you!!

We just wanted to remind everyone about free Public WIFI spots around Rush County that WATCH Communications offers. This was a flyer put in place during Covid, but the WIFI spots are still active. When the Love Community Center opens, that will be another option for free public WIFI.

Juniors! It is not too early to be thinking of your Senior year schedule. You are able to join the EMT class at the Rush to Work schedule. You will get multiple certifications through this program. If this is something that you are interested in, please talk with your counselor!

The Indiana Department of Education released the revised draft of the proposal for the new High School Diploma and is currently taking public comments via the jotform until Friday Nov 8th. The jotform is linked below. I have included the proposed new diploma and it shows a comparison with the current diploma. What a great showing at East Central tonight for the RCHS Quiz Bowl team!!! Fine Arts team of Londyn Whittaker, Cora Morgan, and Sophia Morgan tied for second. Science team of Connor Lyda and Vance Cupp earned 1st place. Way to go team!!!!

NEWS RELEASE … 2024-25 RCHS BASKETBALL SEATING Golden Lion Members, Corporate Sponsors and Parents of Players will have first choice on reserved seats for boys and girls basketball games. They should bring their tickets to the Memorial Gym Athletic Office on: Wednesday October 30th. All other All-Sport ticket holders may begin selecting their seats on Thursday, October 31st. General Admission Tickets will be $6.00. (Middle School and High School students will not need assigned seats) Ticket prices are as follows: Golden Lion Ticket $65.00 Adult All Sport $55.00 Student All Sport $40.00
