To the Rush County Schools Community,

We’re pleased to share that power has been fully restored to all of our buildings. We want to sincerely thank our students, teachers, and staff for their patience and cooperation during the outage.

Our Food Service Department is working diligently to prepare lunches and ensure all students are served as quickly as possible. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility as we return to our normal routine.

Thank you for your continued support.

We are aware of a power outage that is impacting only those schools in the town of Rushville. Currently, we are collecting information to make an educated decision about today. We will keep everyone posted.

Please note that tonight’s School Board meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 9, at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Rush County Schools Administrative Center. Thank you all for your flexibility!

July 16th: Online Registration will be open and available for returning students. Kindergarten Round-Up participants will be able to complete the remainder of their registration on or after this date.

July 21st - 25th: Staff will be available in the buildings to take calls regarding registration.

July 23rd - 25th: In-person registration will be available. Families new to Rush County Schools will need to call to schedule an in-person appointment.

We are so excited to introduce everyone to our new administrators this year! Mr. Justin Tucker is the incoming principal for Benjamin Rush Middle School, Mrs. Cassandra Metcalf is our new assistant principal for Rushville Elementary School, and Mrs. Jennifer Myers will be the next principal at Milroy Elementary School.

Don’t forget that FREE Lunch is available at Rushville Consolidated High School until July 25th! All children ages 1 through 18 are eligible to receive free meals during May 28 th – July 25th at Rushville Consolidated High School Cafeteria Door 25 Monday – Friday, 11:00 A.M – 12:30 P.M (closed the 4th of July) Individuals ages 19 through 21 who have been identified as having mental or physical disabilities and are following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) through their current enrollment in educational programs also are eligible for free summer meals.
