Graduation Stage 2025

Rushville Consolidated High School Graduation – Class of 2025

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, the Rushville Consolidated High School Class of 2025 graduated on Hinshaw Field in a heartfelt and memorable ceremony. A total of 177 students received their diplomas, including three who will be proudly serving our country in the armed forces.

The day was filled with inspiring student speeches, many of which paid tribute to the wisdom of beloved teacher Mr. Haney, particularly his reminder that time is a precious commodity. Student speeches included Valedictorian, Heidi Stanley, and Salutatorian, Trisha Morgan.

Principal Mr. Cook brought energy and emotion to the event. In true fashion, he paused the ceremony to snap a celebratory selfie with the crowd. He also led a touching moment of silence in memory of former classmate Tanner Harrison—a reminder that his spirit remains part of the class’s journey and will forever live in our hearts.

A special and emotional highlight of the day was the unveiling of the bottle cap benches—a student-led project made possible by months of collecting plastic caps. These benches were dedicated in loving memory of Tanner Harrison and Valerie Tindall, two classmates we’ve lost but who remain forever a part of our school family. Their names and legacies are now permanently honored in a place where students can reflect, gather, and remember.

Mr. Cook’s message to the graduates was powerful: Be more like BISON. He explained that bison are the only animals that run toward a storm, facing it head-on to shorten the time spent within it. He encouraged students to do the same—when faced with life’s challenges, confront them bravely and directly.

Mr. Jameson shared words of wisdom and joined the school board in personally congratulating each graduate. The legendary Mr. Perin proudly read the names of the graduating class as they walked the stage to receive their diplomas.

Special thanks to first-year senior sponsors Mr. Burchett and Mr. Lawler, who did a fantastic job coordinating the event. A big shout-out also goes to our incredible grounds and maintenance staff and custodians, who made sure the field and stage were picture-perfect for the big day.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration a success. Congratulations, Class of 2025—your journey is just beginning, and we can't wait to see you run toward your future like bison.
