Registration for Rush County Schools will open in 30 days! Please check out all of our registration dates below: July 16th: Online Registration will be open and available for returning students. Kindergarten Round-Up participants will be able to complete the remainder of their registration on or after this date. July 21st - 25th: Staff will be available in the buildings to take calls regarding registration. July 23rd - 25th: In-person registration will be available. Families new to Rush County Schools will need to call to schedule an in-person appointment.

📚 Summer School Information – Elementary Students (Grades 2-3 ONLY) Student Eligibility: Invitation letters were sent home by elementary building principals to eligible second and third-grade students. If you're unsure whether your child was invited to attend, please contact your child’s building principal. 📅 Dates: Wednesday, May 28 – Tuesday, June 10, 2025 (weekdays only) 🕘 Time: 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. 📍 Location: Rushville High School 🚪 Drop-off & Pick-up: Door 25 (located behind the school near the cafeteria) 🚌 Transportation: Bus transportation will be provided for families who requested it. 📈 Retest Dates: June 9–10 🍽️ Lunch: A free summer meal program will be available from 11:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Tomorrow is 50s Day at Milroy Elementary School, and students can wear 50s attire to school and the program that evening! Kindergarten - 3rd grade will be singing, and 4th -6th graders will be singing, have speaking parts, and some will even be dancing! The theme is "Rock Around 50s"! Students may wear "50s" attire for the program if desired. Click on the attached flyer for more information! To our Rush County Community, As we continue to monitor developments from the Indiana State Legislature, we want to inform you about the latest impacts of Senate Bill 1 (SB 1) on property tax revenue and how it may affect school funding in the months and years ahead. While we are still analyzing the full implications, SB 1 will likely result in reduced property tax collections for school corporations across the state. This change affects all taxing entities, including Rush County Schools. Our goal remains clear and unchanged: to engage in responsible long-range financial planning that maintains a stable total tax rate while ensuring that all of our services, programs, and staffing remain at the highest levels. We are committed to preserving the quality of education and support we provide to our students and families. Strategic planning will continue to be a priority as we assess how to manage this change and align our resources for long-term success.
