Another exciting Friday brings us the latest round of Wow Wildcats! These six remarkable students exemplify kindness at Arlington Elementary, positively impacting everyone around them. Their dedication and enthusiastic participation in class set a wonderful example for their peers. We are fortunate to have them walking our halls!

To our Rush County Community,
As we continue to monitor developments from the Indiana State Legislature, we want to inform you about the latest impacts of Senate Bill 1 (SB 1) on property tax revenue and how it may affect school funding in the months and years ahead.
While we are still analyzing the full implications, SB 1 will likely result in reduced property tax collections for school corporations across the state. This change affects all taxing entities, including Rush County Schools.
Our goal remains clear and unchanged: to engage in responsible long-range financial planning that maintains a stable total tax rate while ensuring that all of our services, programs, and staffing remain at the highest levels.
We are committed to preserving the quality of education and support we provide to our students and families. Strategic planning will continue to be a priority as we assess how to manage this change and align our resources for long-term success.
Thank you for your continued support, trust, and partnership as we work to do what is best for the students of Rush County Schools.
Sincerely,
Mr. Jim Jameson Ed.S.
Superintendent
Rush County Schools

The Indiana Principal Leadership Institute (IPLI) provides building-level principals with the skills and tools needed to increase their personal leadership capacities and the learning capacities of their schools. On Tuesday of this week, Mrs. Mastin graduated from IPLI! Congratulations, Mrs. Mastin!

Our fifth graders traveled to Rushville for the annual Ag Day field trip. Check out the photos that showcase their amazing day!

Due to flooding and road closures throughout Rush County, Rush County Schools will be on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, April 7th, to give our buses, students, and parents daylight to see road conditions.

Next Wednesday we will have Career Day at AES. Students can show up to school dressed for their future!

Here are your Wow Wildcats for the first Friday in April! We are so lucky to have these amazing students at Arlington Elementary School.

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming guests from the Rushville Police Department and the Rush County Sheriff's Department. The officers toured our building to enhance our daily safety, enjoyed lunch with us, and the K9 units from both departments showcased an incredible demonstration!
