Thank you Pizza Hut of Rushville for sponsoring our Student of the Month Luncheon!

Congratulations to these amazing 10 students who were in the top 10 of the 2024 History Bee. John Wehr is your 2024 BRMS History Bee champion.

Congratulations to all of our students who made the All A or All A & B honor roll for the 2nd nine weeks!

Congratulations to Brady Martz who won the 12-13 year old district Elks' Hoop Shoot contest in Seymour on Saturday. He made 20/25 free throws. He will next compete in the State Championships in New Castle on February 23rd.

Rush County Schools is truly blessed with the best school resource officer in the State of Indiana. This man stands out in the driving rain on a Friday morning to ensure all students, buses, parents, and staff make it to school safely. We are truly thankful for Bob Bridges!

Congratulations to our students of the month for December.
Ryli Whaley - nominated by Julie Mahan and Paula Shelton.
Ryli finished decorating the school Christmas tree.
Althea Tellas - nominated by Ashley Gulley
Althea is very respectful in art class. She works hard on each project. When we discuss how to make any adjustments to her projects she is very respectful.
Keegan Pavey - nominated by Terri Marcum
Keegan is an excellent student. His assignments are always well done and completed on time. Recently, Keegan informed me a week before finals that he would be absent for a few days. He wanted to let me know that he could take his semester final early if necessary.
Eli Newhouse - nominated by Kent Wise
Eli is a phenomenal young man! He is engaged each and every day in our classroom activities and discussions. Eli is a remarkable leader and role model among his peers. He is the epitome of what a B.R.M.S. seventh grade student should be!
Olivia Naylor (not pictured) - nominated by Blair Orme
In class, Olivia is very intentive and participates well. But, she also does a remarkable job outside of the classroom. She is very involed and "driven" in the FFA. She takes pride in her work, and nothing can stop her from doing what she sets her mind to. Olivia is going places.
Kendra Frazier - nominated by Rodney Perdew
For raising her grade to a C- through hard work.
Sam Pea - nominated by Shelby Caldwell
Sam is always ready to participate in any discussion, help his peers (in and out of the classroom) , and always have a positive attitude. It is never a dull moment with him in class.
Wyatt Adams - nominated by Shantel Cartwright
Student shared his chips with other students. He was spreading Christmas cheer to others during lunch. He is overall a good kid with a positive attitude.

Congratulations to our staff member of the month for December, Mrs. Brandy Albers.
Brandy has really stepped up lately (not that she doesn't usually). She has been trying to help plan fun things for not only the staff, but the students and community as well. It is really appreciated and obvious how she cares about the people around her.
Brandy gives her all to her students. she does so many hands on assignments to keep the kids totally involved. She also works hard to help with school functions and projects. she just really has become so in touch with her BRMS students and staff.

Congratulations to our student of the month, Eli Newhouse and our staff member of the month, Mrs. Brandy Albers who were recognized at the school board meeting tonight.

If you are looking to be a substitute teacher in the Rush County School System, now is the time to sign up.

Save Your Caps starting this Monday, January 8th!

Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, January 17th at 6:30pm for our upcoming freshman class orientation! Welcome Class of 2028! High School counselors will be coming to the middle school to talk with current 8th graders, but we wanted to make sure you put this date on your calendar. We will start all together in the cafeteria and then split into two groups. One group will stay with the counselors in the cafeteria while the other group can walk the hallways and visit different tables (academic disciplines, clubs, activities, sports). After a certain amount of time, we will swap groups. We hope to see you then!

Mr. Perdew's Passion Project group wrapped up their semester by delivering Christmas cards to a local nursing home today. Awesome stuff!!

Congratulations to the following students who received a positive office referral for December.
