Benjamin Rush Middle School aims to promote a positive atmosphere for the progression from elementary to secondary school while encouraging students’ desire to learn. We look to provide opportunities for students to reach their academic, social, and emotional potential. We will assist in the development of the skills needed to become productive members of society.

Prepared: We will model preparedness by communicating clear expectations and remaining accountable for providing students with impactful lessons that meet state standards.
Respectful: We will demonstrate attributes of respectful behaviors by listening to all students' thoughts and ideas, modeling respect during class, and demonstrating both sympathy and empathy.
Immersed: We will model being immersed by being open to observing and implementing different strategies in the classroom to improve student learning and engagement.
Driven: We will commit to achieving high levels of learning through collaborative efforts in which we take risks, are reflective, have perseverance, and are open-minded educators who continuously learn and grow from one another.
Engaged: We will actively engage students during class instruction with data-driven and dynamic approaches to learning.
