Online Kindergarten Round Up for Rush County Schools will open April 1st. If you have a student who will be 5 years of age by August 1, 2023, make plans now to attend RCS Online Kindergarten Round Up. Instructions for completing the Online Round Up are at http://docs.rushville.k12.in.us/OnlineKG. Preschool should follow the same steps in the link and register under Rushville Elementary School West.

  We wanted to take a quick moment to explain some new procedures for the car rider line. These procedures will begin on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Please share this information with anyone that may be picking your student up from school. In an effort to increase student safety and to allow for students to have an alternate place to play during recess when it is muddy, we are going to be closing the back parking lot until 1:30 on Wednesdays and 2:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. THIS WILL NOT CHANGE MID-DAY PRESCHOOL PICK UP AND DROP OFF. THIS IS ONLY FOR END OF DAY PICK UP. At these times, parents/guardians may begin lining up for dismissal. We ask that you do not line up on the street as this makes it difficult for buses and other traffic to pass. We appreciate your help in keeping our students safe! As per IC 5-3-1 and IC 20-26-5-4.3 the Board of School Trustees of Rush County Schools will convene a public meeting on May 20, 2022 at 7:00 am at the Rush County Schools Administration Building, 330 W. 8th St., Rushville, IN 46173, for the purpose of discussing and hearing objections to and support for this proposed contract for Superintendent of Schools. A complete copy of the proposed contract is posted on the school's website, http://www.rushville.k12.in.us in the Board menu under Personnel Contracts.

RES East Elementary School announces its annual Honors Day Schedule.  Honors Day is held on the following days:

Kindergarten: 9:00-10:00
Fifth Grade: 10:30-11:30
Fourth Grade: 12:30-1:30

Tuesday, May 17, 2022
First Grade: 9:00-10:00
Third Grade: 10:30-11:30

Wednesday, May 18, 2022
Second Grade: 9:00-10:00
Sixth Grade: 10:30-11:30

Registration for the Rush County Schools Preschool Program is now open.  The 3 Year Old and 4 Year Old AM Sessions are now full. Please contact Rushville Elementary School West at 938-1509 if you would like to be placed on a waiting list for these sessions.  There are still openings in the 4 Year Old PM Session for those who qualify.  To begin the registration process, please click on the link below.  Registration for preschool is taken on a first come, first serve basis.
