NEW ONLINE SPORTS PHYSICALS

Parents/Guardians of Student-Athletes,

Greetings from the RCHS Athletic Office!

RCHS and BRMS will be using Final Forms for physicals and signature forms for the 2023-2024 school year. Physicals and other forms for athletics will need to be done online for the 2023-2024 school year. The website is up and running. We have attached a "how to" form that will help you register your student-athlete. Follow the steps to register your student-athlete. We have also attached the new IHSAA Physical Form for 2023-2024. You may pick up a paper copy of the new physical at RCHS Main Office, BRMS Main Office and RCHS Athletic Office. There is also a place on our Final Forms website that you can print off the IHSAA Physical Form for 2023-2024. You can upload the physical yourself to the website or bring a copy of the physical to be uploaded in the RCHS Athletic Office. All the other paperwork will need to be completed online.

This is our first year using Final Forms. There may be some issues to work through but please call our office with any questions you may have concerning the physicals for next year.

Hello, I hope you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving Break.
As we return on Monday, we are still under the mask/face covering requirement. We will see what the numbers are this week and I will let you know if this changes.

Covid Protocols (Updated November 12, 2021)

 Dear RCS Families and Staff,

Our protocols in regards to requiring masks/face coverings in Rush County Schools states if the 7 Day County Positivity Rate is 10% or greater, mandatory masking will be required in buildings for a minimum of two weeks. The current 7 Day County positivity rate is 13.24%. Therefore, beginning Monday, November 15th, Rush County Schools will require masks/face coverings to be worn during the school day until at least Thanksgiving Break.

Your cooperation is much appreciated!

Dr. Matt Vance

COVID Protocols (Updated 9/29)

September 29, 2021

Dear RCS Families and Staff,

The RCS Board of Trustees has voted to extend the face covering/mask requirement through October 22nd. The decision was based on a recommendation from the Rush County Health Department and Rush County's current status of high community spread. It is believed that progress is being made and this will get us through the current surge. Hopefully after Fall Break we can make an adjustment. The primary goal remains to keep students and staff healthy, in school on a daily basis, and minimize absenteeism due to contact tracing.

I appreciate the cooperation from our students, families, and staff.

Dr. Vance

Principal's Welcome

lady-lions-basketball
Welcome!

The faculty and staff at Rushville Consolidated High School (RCHS) are committed to helping our students learn, grow, and thrive! It is our desire to maintain a safe learning environment that includes addressing students' academic, social, and mental well-being. Our motto: "Excellence is Our Expectation" is evident in all aspects of our school. It is the expectation that students, faculty, and staff strive each day to achieve excellence and to not settle for anything less. We do not want RCHS to be a good school; we want it to be an excellent school in all ways!

RCHS has a long tradition of demonstrating Lion pride and excellence in: academics, athletics, social behavior, and in a wide variety of clubs, organizations, and activities. For a school of less than 700 students, RCHS offers a vast range of curriculum opportunities including fine arts, vocational programs, dual-credit, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Students have the potential of earning one year or more of college credits. The Opportunity School is another educational environment in which our students learn and complete coursework at their own pace. Regarding technology, we are a One-to-One School with every student utilizing a Chromebook. RCHS athletes compete in the majority of the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHAA) sports offerings. We have an extensive variety of clubs, organizations, and activities that affords our students the chance to dynamically connect with the school and community. There is something for everyone at RCHS!

As the Proud Principal of RCHS, the following quote from Vince Lombardi exemplifies the concept of excellence that I desire for students. "The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor." I hope that you enjoy your visit to our site and please feel free to contact me if I may be of assistance.

Go Lions!

Rob Hadley
